Closures

Mechanical closures comprise rigid closure tubes or domes with one or two end caps for the cable entrances. The sealing between the closure components and the cables is made by means of plastic compounds, such as sealing tapes, gels or by silicone seals. Pressure is applied to the seals mechanically, i.e. with clips, hooks or screw fasteners. This kind of closures can be re-entered and closed as required, for maintenance or system expansion purposes.

Copper Network Components

Corning distribution blocks are used for both voice and data networks in the central office, cabinets and in private networks applications. With their reliable IDC contacts they are the interface between multipair cable and the flexible, user-specific wiring (jumper-wire).

Data Communication Cables

The Corning copper data cables with high-density braiding are especially interference-resistant and therefore particularly suitable for deployment in environments of increased electromagnetic interferences, such as data centres and manufacturing areas as well as recommended for high quality conscious customers.

Data Communication Hardware

The Corning S/FTP 600 flex/26 flex cable is specified up to 600 MHz and provides transmission performance meeting Category 7 cable specifications EN 50288-4-2 and IEC 61156-5. High system margins for the complete link according to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2 AMD:2 (2010) and EN 50173 (Series) will be achieved by using corresponding hardware together with this high-end copper cable.

Pre-connectorised Assemblies

The Corning F S/FTP flex patch cord with 2 S1200/4 connectors in compliance with IEC 60676-3-104 provides transmission performance meeting Category 7 specifications ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2 2011 and EN 50173-1 (2003). Outstanding performance for the transmission of digital data signals for future comming applications up to 10GbE in compliance with the new Class EA and IEEE 802.3an standard. FutureCom cables are low skew products, i.e. the difference in propagation delay between the individual pairs is very low. This is increasingly being requested for Gigabit Ethernet. The suitability of the cable for high-bit-rate transmission systems ensures a high degree of future proofing. The S1200 connectors are fully assigned and hence application independent.
