Collect information from managers

Talk to your managers. You can start talking to your senior manager. This person can be your organization’s IT manager, planning manager, or CEO

Explain what these conversations are for and why they should talk to you about the organization’s goals

Organizational goals

• The organization’s intention to develop or adjust its business or mission
• The intention of the organization to develop a part of itself, such as sales, support, financial, administrative, etc. departments.
• The goals that have been prioritized for the organization regarding export or import.
• Programs and application software that different departments of the organization intend to deploy.
• If you are a government organization, the plans that the upstream organizations have for the development of the parent organization and your organization.
• Stay informed if a new building is going to join the existing building.

Important components of the network development plan

Your application will eventually consist of several sections as follows:

• LOM or list of material or in other words BOM or BILL of material of your network equipment in different sections of switch, server, router, storage, and passive equipment.
• LOS or LIST OF Services, or in other words, the list of executive actions that must be done to install and operate your network.
• LOP or List Of Price or in other words, the price list of equipment mentioned in paragraph 1.Yes, it is true that contractor and specialist companies should do this. But you should provide your managers with an estimate of the likely cost of the price.
  The reason for the failure of most development programs in the network and data center sector is the budget subject.
• HLD or High Level Design document that explains your entire design easily.
• Detailed design document or LLD or Low Level Design that describes all the details of your design in a technical way.
